In Portuguese, there isn't really a good word that directly translates to "cute" when referring to a person. Usually, we use "fofo(a)," but "fofo(a)" is closer to "adorable" or "sweet" than it is to "cute." We could use "bonito(a)," but that has a more direct equivalent in English: "pretty."
Calling a romantic interest "fofo(a)" can also sound a bit infantilizing or too friendly, unlike "cute" in English, which can easily be used in a flirtatious way.

Finished watching The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King and started reading the manga. When I started watching, I wasn't expecting it to be a fantasy story... something something, I didn't check the tags. Anyway, while reading the manga, I noticed how much it was inspired by Berserk. Overall, it's pretty solid and a fun read. Would recommend.

There was some ground beef in the fridge that had been sitting there for a while... It didn't smell bad, but it seemed a bit questionable. I made two borgars with it and ate them. They didn't taste bad, so I think I'll survive.
Welp, I was just standing there, waiting for my food to heat up in the microwave, then I slightly rotated my torso... and somehow hurt my lower back. I’m getting old... I really need to get back to the gym.

There's a birthday party going on in the street behind me. They've got karaoke going on, and they absolutely suck.
Eh... It was one of the RAM sticks that went bad and was causing the issue. Unfortunately, it was the big one, the 8 GB stick. Fortunately, I had a 4 GB one lying around from another dead laptop. So, not yet, old friend. Not yet.
Welp, my old 2012 laptop just died. On the bright side, I don't think it's the HDD, since I removed it and the laptop still doesn't even turn on. That's actually good, because even though there wasn't anything particularly important on it, I do have some old college files I'd like to keep. On the downside, I used to take it with me on short trips, and now I have nothing to bring with me.
Things I only find when I don't need them and can't find when I do need them: my pendrives. Maybe I should, I don't know, be more organized? Changing is hard.
Welp, my dog hasn't had a seizure since starting the medication, which is great. On the downside, the medication makes him look like he's drunk all the time. Apparently, it takes about 7–10 days for his brain to adjust to it.
Welp, so much for it being a one-time thing. He had another seizure. The blood tests didn't show anything, so he's on phenobarbital now. I really hope it works.
One of my dogs scared the hell out of me today. In the middle of the night, he had a seizure. It had never happened before. I took him to the vet, and they drew some blood for tests. I'm hoping it was just a one-time thing. He seems fine right now.
I can't access the main site on my old phone (iPhone 7) anymore. All I get is a black screen when I try, so no more reading while I'm on the toilet. I can still access the forum, though, so I can keep shitposting.
I guess it's time...
At this point, it's inevitable...
My next purchase will be one of these.
I've been using a regular hair clipper for years, but it's a lot of work, and it doesn't shave close enough. -
