Fun fact about this chapter's title. The Japanese title is 旅立ちの時 or Tabidachi no Toki. This is the same name as the Japanese translation of the 1988 River Phoenix film: Running on Empty. It's likely a reference because our cast are in vaguely similar situations as the movie's cast.

I definitely think this was a necessary sideline. A lot of you may not know it, but this kinda thing happens more often than you think. Especially in the underground idol scene.

I actually never realized it but the university that they mention, the one kanoko worked at, is called "teito" which is basically saying Generic Name University. He likely chose that because he didn't want to slander any real school and their pharmaceutical departments.

Sorry about the wait everyone, this chapter had a lot more intricacies than the first, so it took a bit longer to finish. Luckily now though, we're down to 20 or so pages per chapter, so releases should be faster.
