Yeah I think it he'd been from Mother and Father's village they'd have been out in front of it. But he's from some other random village. Maybe some very rural village not too near a human town where it's normally not an issue, but Kogane passed through looking for the d-bag previous human guy?

Oh for anyone wondering how long the slow reveal gets stretched out, Stalker-san takes action and gets revealed in chapter . Almost there! Also, the chapters this volume are getting longer, maybe so he can fit the plot and still have some cute slice of life.
