It's not Sophie that's forcing Akari to stay with her, it's Akari who wants to stay with Sophie. Hikari isn't allowed to decide that Akari has to go back home without asking her.

I don't know why. I own physical copies of the volumes and they go from 57 to 61 too. Volume 2 has 1 bonus chapter and volume 3 has 2 bonus chapters (I forgot these existed and they haven't been uploaded, I'll do them at some point soon) so perhaps they decided to add those to the chapter count...

I was planning on redoing them because people dislike the current translations, but they are mostly accurate albeit with some memes thrown in. I had some extra time this week, but I'm going to be a lot busier the next three months so they will slow down again.
