This right here. It's like Negi's hell-bent on destroying the more interesting aspects of his plot, replacing it with never-ending fights, filled with a gazillion deaths for shock value.

This whole manga in a nutshell. After what Negi accomplished with Quintessential Quintuplets, it's disheartening to see.

As others have said, it's really hard to root for anyone here. It feels like no matter who wins, things will get worse. A general problem with the manga at many points, honestly.

Seriously, Negi, at this point very few of your characters make sense anymore. :(
