This fight for the association feels forced and utterly pointless. Is this really worth ruining their own base for, and outing themselves as having allied with an executive? This is silly.

I see why D would have problems with the invaders being seen as people needing to be "rescued", but looking at those Sunday shows... isn't that the case for 99% of the footsoldiers? They have completely resigned themselves to being the rangers' lackeys, just like they've been the executives'...

Seriously, this manga is starting to make me think that the past few years turned Negi into a disillusioned, nihilist wreck.

I swear, the disconnect between Hisui going on about how everyone can be a hero, and her behavior during the exam arc ("We must keep things secret, so what if the cadets die?") is so jarring, it's actually hard to believe it's just bad characterization and not... some elaborate mystery Negi...

I think not interfering is just as much of a decision as saving a kitten from the crows. Letting things run their course will not automatically be the right decision just because it seemingly "doesn't choose sides". In fact, as shown here, it can sometimes be little more than cowardice.

Thanks for picking this up, here's hoping you can find a translator. MTL is still very inconsistent, sadly; there was at least one place in the chapter where I could not tell what was going on.

When a chapter is really good, you don't notice it's short. This is certainly one of those. :)

It might be hard to piss Yotsuba off, but you nonetheless don't want to do that. Just look at what happened to the poor firewood in this chapter...

Once again I get the feeling that Miko's "spirit-vision" is very deceptive and confuses "alien" with "evil/hostile". Which admittedly must be very frustrating. If only she had some kind of defense against the ghosts so she wouldn't be taking huge risks trying to interact with them.

Nice. This actually fits Itsuki's AU route from the "Five Memories Spent with You" game really well.

This is one of those series that's utterly hopeless to do without actually understanding Japanese, I'm afraid. Even with a proper translation, we might have very little idea about what's going on. With MTL like this? No chance.

I gotta say, this twist was kinda genius.

This was a pointless, out-of-left-field rehash of the previous jealousy plotline. It's about time I dropped this series I think; its main priority seems to be milking everything for drama as much as possible - thanks but no thanks.

What a wimp. Cuddling for one night will not ruin your career or the series you work on, that's an excuse, and a lame one at that.

Unfortunately, even when there aren't any wars nearby, top TV news are filled with crime and politics. Would be nice to only get news about suspiciously intelligent seals for a while...
