@nixnax , to add to @ghusjil 's response, putting milk into a teapot can also increase the chance of the milk curdling and forming solids which can make the taste weird as well as be weird to drink, especially if you use a more acidic tea, and it will increase the mess. And the temperature...

I love the fluff. A note to the translator, the parent of your spouse is not a step-parent but an in-law. A step parent would be when your parent marries a new person who now parents you too.
