I almost admire how all the "sexy" ladies in this manga just have the most cartoonist bolt-ons. It's like the artist wants to represent a "sexy lady" for narrative purposes but has no interest in actually depicting her as such. So we get this crude drawing, and its back to the lovingly detailed...

Ironic that the author said his worries for the anime were assuaged, since it did turn out kinda crappy. But then, authors always just seem happy to have their works animated, even when it's a poor job. If I were Oda I would be curious what Toei is doing to my series, but apparently he doesn't mind.
