For some reason this chapter of shima san and a chapter of chihiro san came together on my feed, this double features is perfect, they all are so different and so smiliar mangas

I don't think he's doing this on purpose to make better art, he refuses to process his grief ( partly because i doesn't feel valid to be grieving like if he was a family member) that cause him strong emotions, his art happends '' strong' because of this But problem is, yakumo is a pretty tough...
