Damn, he just got trauma dumped on. Funny how that was the same position the first girl in this Manga was in and we all know how that went. I had a good hunch about Kanon having some form of body dysmorphia (not sure why people thought she was/had a twin lmao)

Anyway, it's still dubious whether or not she's physically cheating, but I think this is at least some form of emotional cheating, no? Hiding so much shit from your boyfriend and on top of that calling a random dude over instead feels very disingenuous. Your partner should always be the first person you rely on.

He needs to have a good heart-to-heart conversation with her, no bullshit. Otherwise he has to dip. She's way more trouble than she's worth.

Yeah calling it now, she is totally not the real Kanon, she modified her face with plastic surgery to look like her.
I also have that suspicion, based on the previous chapter - I thought she was Kanon's sister or twin though.
But also with the host-guy calling her Kanon, I'm not completely sure.
He may also call her that because that is what she wants to be called, instead of her real name, and she will freak out if he doesn't.

I really want it to not be what I would consider an asspull, plot twist for the sake of plot twists, but with how this author has been going... Anything is possible. That's a bad thing.

Like, he met her when she was about to jump off the roof. They live next door to each other and never knew until the day he stopped her from jumping. She wants to get plastic surgery when he just heard about his classmate's twin brother wanting to get plastic surgery. It's all contrived writing, and at this point, I wouldn't put it past the author to make her a twin too.

As an aside, holy crap, this dialogue was bad. The casual, adult host at a bar starts name dropping clinical diagnoses to a high schooler and acts like the child is supposed to understand these terms. Is that how conversations actually happen in Japan? For a lot of reasons, I feel like no, not at all. Japan, as a place where mental diagnoses in the first place are super rare, and then just casually saying the clinical terms.

The author is just... Not doing well right now.

This manga was really a 10/10 at the beginning but rn it’s really boring, like everyone is just annoying and problematic

Well, this was less bad than I expected from the chapter title. "You know nothing" I thought she was going to snap at him and tell him that. And now our boy knows it's not all sunshine and rainbow when you stick your dick in crazy :02:

I was gonna let the overdosing slide, but the plastic surgery is the last straw. She probably has an ugly asian face behind all that make up and cosmetic mangling

Damm how does a teeneger even get to grasp all that was dumped on him just now, let alone help
Which make the MC an actual nuisance in this case considering he is not equipped to deal with this, like at all.

The power of just being there is something we take for granted. I was in a similar scenario as a teen where I was not equipped at all to deal with the issue. I had the opportunity to abandon the person. I never solved the problem with them, but ended up forming a friendship and helping to ground themselves when things got too crazy. But it takes the awareness and self-control to understand your own weaknesses and not let them spill over and make things worse.

Being honest the manga always had a habit of going into lecture mode even back when it was about the previous protagonist
