I have to say that I really appreciate the way this series shows life in all its ways, both the light and the heavy, and that a sweet chapter like this can come after a heavier one and it doesn't feel out of place.

@jak She didn't think she held any value to him/them and that she was just going to hold Azur/Kiyosumi back. It's not really difficult to understand. Ushio's an emotional person who acts on impulse.

At the end of the day she probably still feels like she's a third wheel with no real place in the group who'd just hold Azur and Kiyosumi back.

This is one of my favorite series and the art is one of the reasons why so to see it get adapted with poorly animated lifeless PS3 models is kind of depressing.

I always feel like the chapters dealing with death/Heaven and friendship are generally the strongest ones in this series and this one is probably one of the stronger arguments for that.

@Tamerlane The relationship between Teru and Koishikawa feels a lot like the kind of close female relationships you'd see out of other mahou shoujo works (which as a genre I feel this series draws more obvious inspiration from than battle shounen) so I don't think anyone who sees romantic...

Was kind of hoping the cousin would just be a one-off thing. She feels way out of place like she came from a different, worse series and both of her chapters have been probably the weakest because of it.
