I'm assuming that the person she's been talking about the entire time is actually Yamaguchi but she's too nervous and too lacking in confidence to tell him directly so she basically pulls the "I've got a boyfriend but he totally goes to a different school" card to mask it. The entire chapter where she's telling him about the boy she likes reads to me more like she's trying to bait a confession out of Yamaguchi. But I could be wrong on that.

@Suben That might actually be an interesting plot in another manga, but it wouldn't work in this one. In the first place, Satou wouldn't be capable of such a plot. On the other hand, she's too honest for it.

On the other hand, technically I'm still stuck with a cliffhanger volume ending and have to patiently wait for an English translation like most people here.

In a field dominated by unconfident wimps amassing harems this manga is a breath of fresh air. They both feel like real people. And yet the story never feels tedious or boring.

Although I guess a part of that comes down to the translator being able to write engaging dialogue rather than merely rewriting japanese using english words. So, once again, thanks for the translations.
