monthly releases are why we have the story at the quality it's at and the length it's at weekly releases should be stamped out entirely as a lot of mangaka's have fallen ill because of it some developed illness so bad it killed them

I love the exposition, its good that they're taking the time to do this now instead of flashing it back later when ed and tia have a conversation about how she got there. It smoothens out the entire plot from there and you can start world 2 without having to think of world 1 anymore at least...
