To whoever changes publication status to 'Complete'. The manga is still ongoing as the latest issue of Moring Two (July of 2019) has a chapter and no ending was announced yet (as far as I know).

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 5 Ch. 39 - What a Soldier Can Do

@Monky @kaarin I don't think that the missile in any way functional. My theory is that's an empty shell slapped on top for the cool factor alone. One of the soldiers who was assigned to the cable car nicked or restored the shell and fixed it on the car without any approval, and the higher ups...

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 5 Ch. 38 - Calling for Trouble

@Ncararc I was really conflicted on that bit. I know that past simple would be preferable here, but there is a parallelism for comic effect, and I struggled to convey it properly (and I still missed it, I suppose). I'll change it when (if at all) I figure this out.

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 3 Ch. 16 - We Must Get There First

@Shita-kiri Suzume I find these transliterated Japanese words even more puzzling. Sometimes they're very relevant to understanding the situation. Like in Chapter 14 it doesn't make sense that Kirill and Martina has an entire tram car for themselves unless you know that Гундзин Сэйноу means...

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 3 Ch. 16 - We Must Get There First

@Shita-kiri Suzume Well, because it's not really a bean soup. It's a dessert made out of sweet beans and rice cake. Additionally, these things are labeled in Cyrillic as Каичу Сирко (Kaichu Shirko). But, probably, the main reason and the most honest answer is that English translation is to...

    Taihou to Stamp

@Adelkman The location of the Kingdom is never mentioned, but there were two clues. In the chapter with the computer, theKongdom's electronics merchant treats Kirill and Martina with eclairs. And Kingdom's currency is called Écu, like one of historical French coins. France being a kingdom still...

    Taihou to Stamp

@Adelkman Well, certainly it resembles the Republican Turkey, mostly because of the historical parallels (and the name). However, apparentely, there was no conflict comparable to the WWI, most prominentely because chemical weapons while widely used still considered inhumane but not as a...

    Taihou to Stamp

@Mizuto If suppose it's the former. Venice was a foreign power, they most likely would try to dismantle any trace of the Ottoman rule, subdue the culture statrting with the language. Yet the Republican military vehicles still bear the names of culturally important people and objects and the...

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 5 Ch. 35 - Is Being Careless That Far From Being Earnest?

I would also disagree with the notion of Sinan being "a third-side" of the war. Mainly because wars are waged for the victory, while Sinan is in it wor the war itself. War gave him power, status, and he strives to keep it this way. His end goal, it seems, is not to win but to perpetuate wa...

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 5 Ch. 35 - Is Being Careless That Far From Being Earnest?

@kazaddum The last few chapters give a nice insight on this, unless Sinan was lying. The military gave him everything: a purpose, a status, power and influence. The military thrives during a war. So his goal is to perpetuate the war to keep and increase what he got. But may be there are other...

Taihou to Stamp - Vol. 5 Ch. 34 - Seriously, Don't Speak of It!

@Redsaint That's interesting. I've always assumed that all the women we see with Sinan are different ones, because they never expect any form of abuse from him until he slips. And indeed they all look different. And interiors allok different too. I dounbt that Grand Duchy intervents own multiple...

@dsuke Yes! All the vehicles look like bulky plumpy metal plated hippos. It gives off a certain vibe.
