First, thanks for the translation! Second, wow! This chapter was pretty intense. I'm going to have to reread it a few times to digest it all, but I don't mind a bit. Third, it is a crime no one licensed the manga and did a proper adaptations (to include the use of Japanese honorifics).

I suspect Manta-sensei grew weary of this some time ago. Basically, he had X number of pages to fill out a tankoubon (not counting whatever omake chapter he adds for the final tankoubon), so that's what he did. And too often, it results in a manga that just ends in a less than satisfying manner...
