Well that was an outrageous co-incidence. I don't really mind, but it definitely gives me a hint going forward about how this writer is going to be doing their storytelling.

It says "For dinner we had instant ramen". I'm looking at the picture, at the half-hard-boiled-eggs, the slices of meat, the pieces of what looks like green onion and the bits of that other stuff they put in . . . those may be instant noodles, but that ain't any instant ramen I ever had.

@KAFi I don't buy it. The rumours are no doubt exaggerated to some extent. But first, we have direct evidence of a group of boys whose expectation is that normally she'd be going out to play with them. And second, she's just too calmly articulate about the whole thing to be feeling anything...
