They know how to stretch out chapters, how to write cliff hangers, how to write dialogue to a certain...

Does anyone actually care about any of this? Feels like a waste of chapters. Yeah, sure, not everything has to orbit the MC, but dragging on so many chapters for the sake of what seems like a totally random event that has nothing to do with anything feels like such a drag.
