I have to agree with you folks. The manga has been very rushed as of late. I noticed this since at least the Carthago Nova chapters. It's the exact opposite of filler, and just as unfortunate.

This is true for Dr. Slump. That is, at least for the first several volumes of that series. Mr. Toriyama was a cut above (most of) his peers. Sometimes, while admiring a clever and skillful piece in Dr. Slump, I couldn't help but be reminded of MAD magazine.

Full respect to Mochi Au Lait! They know when's the right time, for bringing back characters seen in older chapters. These ex-bullies aren't so far in the past we'd have forgotten them, and they aren't so recent we'd say, "Aw, fugg, not these guys again."

Some chapters ago I basically said Toudou went by her instincts. But here, she's the most calculating of the bunch. Nice; it's good to see her like this. But... is it good character development, or the author just doing what they feel like? I mean, I still remember when she cussed out those...

President Yomotsuka has a good eye for talent! It's at least as powerful as Toudou's surprising knack for convincing people. Even better, Yomotsuka is self-aware, which puts her a full level above the instinctive FMC.

I just couldn't recognize Iwagaki Yuina in that qipao, on page one! Thankfully, Mochi Au Lait put those team lists in this chapter. You're the best! :glee:
