I always find Nikujaga's (and to a related extent curry's) popularity as Japanese dishes kinda funny. It reminds me of how people so strongly associate pizza with New York, because it's so far removed from teh source recipe as to be a totally different thing.

@PandaMoni I think this is a good balance between meme translation and proper translation. The corrupt politician is pretty clearly a Trump expy to begin with, and even I admit that I got a good laugh out of the "keikaku means plan" line, and I usually can't stand meme translations.

@talisay999 I suspect he means he wasn't able to see his grandson because Eliza moved away. Also, as far as accent vs non-accent goes, I think having SOME sort of accent to indicate the different speech pattern is fine, but making it super heavy Scottish twitter style was a bit much.

@Potato They're not wrong about it being a nightmare of trying to remember what's going on. If you lose concentration for even half a scene you're pretty much done for.

@Liquidxlax to be fair, very basic explosives were created by ancient China and used for military purposes around the year 1000 CE. If this plot is set in the usual fantasy "middle ages-esque" time period, it wouldn't be out of the question to have someone invent explosives. Then again, it's...
