I LOL'd at the suspiciously-accurate statue of Shy that was made without her knowledge. Yeah, I've been thinking that since last chapter too. The mischievous eyes and grin is very Kfufu.

I think the original transformation lines are meant to be read like a single-line summoning command: "Bloom brilliantly, magic of smiles!" (i.e.: requesting the magic of smiles to bloom). Similar to shikai in Bleach (e.g.: "Dance, Sode no Shirayuki!").

Thanks for continuing to scanlate this series! So Chitose isn't the actual mermaid, but likely also one of the Houko, who somehow managed to survive unlike the others, and thus left to live alone for generations. Her existence is so sad. Looking forward to seeing how this story ends.

Thanks for the scanlation! The whole cohabitation situation felt a bit contrived at first, but the "...Ahh, I see now. I was scared of raising her alone." line in this chapter makes the cohabitation feel more understandable now.

That was a cool solution, using one entity against another, just exploiting the natural ecosystem. "No problem. We simply unleash wave after wave of Chinese needle snakes Gerai. They'll wipe out the lizards Great King of Terror." "But aren't the snakes Gerai even worse?"

I felt Sayori and Mizuki (the boxcutter couple) was one of the things that made this series really stand out among other yuri series to me. I like how this series has a subtle psychological theme, and a bit of an underlying sense of unease. It's exploring different types of relationships, and...

My favorite parts of this chapter were the suicide hotline, and the pursuer decked out in amusement park swag. Also, if you re-read the chapter, the pursuer is having fun in the background of almost every attraction that Satoko and Konoha visited.

It sounded like copypasta to me, and it turned out that it was, in fact, a tastefully modified meme. But that didn't make it any less funny. I always enjoy seeing scanlator comments and little touches like this, that indicate the scanlator is also having fun scanlating the series.
