The last speech bubble in last page from claire: "...好きになさいな" translate to "do as you please" kinda deviate from the author idea to convey Claire's insecurities?
@Omegacalgar either heater or air humidifier, they have a similar shape. And winter in Japan, if you use heater a lot indoor the air tend to be very dry.
@Bloop1234 The MC will let us on her motive at later chapter. But in short without spoiling is that: she really love Claire and "currently" wish nothing but happiness for her, even if that happiness does not include her.

His/Her reaction is understandable. It is however only the first chapter and not everyone like to read the Novel like us. Just wait for a few more chapter to judge i guess. And if they don't like it, well i respect their decision.
