Just a note about that new location "Nakade das", I think you missed a pun . "Naka de dasu" means "Cum inside (creampie)"

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 18 - Jumping Ship Pt2.

I've been here in Japan since 2009, almost half of my entire life, I speak the language fluently and often understand concepts and such better in Japanese than English. All this to say, this really has nothing to do with me holding onto western preconceptions. If you were to actually read what...

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 18 - Jumping Ship Pt2.

Bro, what are you even talking about? I never said the Japanese numbers themselves were difficult to read just that seeing them in the English 10^3 system and reading it in the Japanese 10^4 system is annoying and constantly involves counting the individual units to figure out. For example, the...

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 18 - Jumping Ship Pt2.

When almost every Japanese person still has to count each unit for large numbers to figure out how to correctly read them, I get the feeling it isn't as easy as you say it is, seeing as they are generally written in the English 10^3 format but read in the Japanese 10^4 format.

Pages 6 and 7 have been updated to get the full billion. I lost my zeros, but hopefully now everyone is happy.

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 18 - Jumping Ship Pt2.

I mentioned on the Reddit thread that I wanted to use a lot of zeroes in the first bubble it was said but 8,000,000,000 wouldn't have fit without looking squished which is why I put 8,000,000. I've just woken up, so I'll try a couple of different ways to get the full 8 billion. I didn't think it...

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 18 - Jumping Ship Pt2.

Bit of A, bit of B. The original number was actually 8,000,000,000 (literally 80 100 millions, 80億) but I took off three zeros in the previous bubble because it was too long and wouldn't fit cleanly. Then when I was doing that second panel I reverted back to Japanese numerals and put 80 because...

...Then go MTL it yourself. This is a translation, not transliteration. No translator would ever say "Kappa fart", as is, in English. What you are asking for is unreasonable by any metric, I may as well just convert all the words from Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji as they are into Romaji for you...

People are letting their emotions ("Ewww, tiktok!") get in the way. Kuzutani is a cringey character (just last chapter he showed up all "gangsta" style saying "indahoussse") and he uses cringey language. People have a problem with the cringe and are blaming me.

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 16 - Popochi

I think we agree more than we disagree. You see, to me, I still see enough of a similarity of "Gyatt" to "Goddamn" as I explained the etymology in another comment. However, I also have a problem with words that have no etymological root such as "pog", "kek" and "dank" for example. There was...

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 16 - Popochi

I've spent almost half my life in Japan, haven't set foot out of Japan since 2010 and am currently in the nationlization process. But besides your self-righteous indignation...It's a translation. I replace one language with another. It's the entire fucking point you absolute moron. I didn't...

Damedoru to Sekai ni 1-nin dake no Fan - Vol. 2 Ch. 16 - Popochi

"Gyatt" has a very similar origin to "rizz"- Basically the first part of someone shouting "GODDAMN!" in a state of exasperated surprise/arousal. Most often used in context of "Goddamn, look at that ass!" with the "d" slowly turning into it's phonetical cousin "t" Goddamn → Gyaddamn → Gyattamn →...

I just don't suffer stupidity. If I actually make a mistake, (spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc.) I own up to it straight away. The problem is I don't think I made a mistake- I've explained my reasoning, in detail and still have people saying "Uh, NO. Slang bad." (essentially) and I'm...

I'll just copy what I pasted to other people, with a couple of edits, regarding the use of those two words and what the raws were; For the word "Gyat": The raw was "デッ!!" ("De!!!") Short for でかい ("Dekai") meaning "Huge!" But in a more exasperated exclamatory way (ie; the English "WOAH!"). I...
