@twinklecake I don’t think that’s what’s happening. It’s a recompilation, so it’ll be the same story with more detail. They said that they want to touch it up, since it was drawn only in pen early on with no rough drafts. They even stated that they didn’t get to draw as much as they wanted to, so essentially, they just want to go back and remaster the manga. It’s not going to be entirely different. It’s just gonna be cleaned up and have added details.

Why is incest so bad? I don't see what's so wrong. I know it's bad for the gene pool, but why is it forbidden for being morally wrong than scientifically wrong??

I mean, if you're parent tries to make you sexually love them, of course that's wrong. And you don't have to sexually love your siblings. As long as things have willing consent, and participants are over 18, everything is fine. And you don't even need to have children.

I asked my mother, and all she could say was, "Well, you don't want to marry your sister, do you?" and I was like, in my head, that's a shitty argument/example.

The bigger question is, did you say yes?

I assume you're talking about the legal aspect of it; and it being in your own country, because not all countries have criminalized incest.

And as to your link, I think the answers there already sort of answered your own question: It's to discourage the development of certain physical and mental as well as psychological and emotional(as a circumstance to the environment growing up) problems in the child. And well, as the government of a country, you don't exactly want that for your citizens now do you.

As for the moral aspect, that's a bigger thing to unpack. There are already many discussions as to the regards of the morality of incest(Here are some)

But well, if you read through these things and even more, you'll start to see that a common finding/response is that the concept of "incest" is just naturally repulsive to most(normal, in it's right context) people, when presented with the situation excluding any other factor such as the knowledge of the scientific aspect.
