I didn’t understand the story

Boy found the apparitions in the tunnel weird because the girl was supposed to be the only one who died that night, so he experimented and found that rumors strengthened the apparition. He weakened the rumors by censoring and reporting them, blurring the apparitions.

Streisand effect happened and the rumors only strengthened, revealing that he knew only the girl died that night because he was the murderer. He was trying to weaken the rumors bc the apparition would reveal his face.

Hina got cursed too after touching "us" ? i think Yuuma will try to oppose the doll or "us" to save Hina but somehow end up telling story till 100 chap because it's the only way perhaps

It didn't occur to me that he himself was the murderer. Chalked it off to "oh no this random spirit will inherit my face since I'm the one always visiting the site of Hina's death~".

I feel bad for Yuuma and Hina now. What in the world is happening to them? (That sound effect at the beginning tho... it's additional lore to what our POV might be)
