So here is my guess on how endings would go, two guesses, the manga is called 100 Ghost Stories, and 100 stories must be told:
1) In chapter 100, Yuuma's mom feels sorry for her son so she is the one telling the last story, and somehow interrupts the ritual, it fails, and Hina gets her body back while Yuuma's mom's soul leaves the mortal realm for good.
2) The ending is in chapter 101, after telling 100 stories equal to 100 chapters. It's a plot twist as the manga ends at chapter 101 instead of chapter 100.
3) Yuuma will stop telling the ghost stories at 99, and they will think everything is okay. But the 100th story is the frame story itself, and Yuuma and Hina are caught in the ghost's trap.

I thought he was asking for his mom. So he won’t feel bad for forsaking her
I still wonder if that thing is his mom to begin with, the way she seems so keen into manipulating Yuma even though she knows it will result in a young girl's death is kind of jarring

The Hyakku Monogatari always was meant to bring terror into the world. Once the final candle was snuffed out, something terrible will happen to the storyteller. Whether whatever is possessing Hina is actually Yuma's mother or not, one thing is for sure - Something will be born in the end. Although born is not too appropriate of a word, appear is more like it. Five more candles to go.

Could it be, but that would leave the ritual in a near-completion stage and that would be a dumb move, at least based on myth about rituals.
Unfinished rituals usually yield unexpected results, and who knows what would happen, definitely bad...

I think that rather than the woman representing Yuma's mom, she represents Yuma himself. She wants something and gets involved with the supernatural, which then becomes a problem. Yuma started the ghost stories so he could have his mom back but that has been causing many consequences.

So his mother's ghost kill 2 police officer, the dad and step mother.

Now aiming to get Hina's body. Yeah, that not evil at all.

The ninety-fourth story in summary:
PREGANANANT!?

As for Yuuma's part, asking to see Hina one last time was a bold move and how the Mother(ish?) Entity responds next time could give a hint of it's true nature. Yuuma has shown that he cares for both of them deeply so I honestly have no clue whether he really just wants to say goodbye to her or if he has some alternative plan in mind. Thanks for the chapter.

Either Hina's hair is growing at super speed or the time between chapters is a looong time
I noticed that as well. It only starts growing out rapidly around Ch. 92 when the final possession of Hina is in full swing so it's progressed from shoulder to chest length in only 3 days in-universe. Note the adult woman on the cover page of Ch. 94 has waist length locks. If that was a visage of Yuuma's mother then the closer the ritual comes to fruition, the more Hina's appearance may begin resembling her's.

IIRC there's similar plot on a webtoon which I forgot the title.
In that webtoon, there are several story teller and it turns out the last story teller is a ghost who invited the rest of the story teller as their victim.
