Yeah that passphrase system was not secure.
agreed. while she (the savior one, forget her name, this manga isn't even regularly availabe monthly) manage to sniff something wrong right away, as far as I'm aware this kind of clearance system need some kind of interaction instead of one-way speech. like asking some mundane question like how's your family doing or something. granted, she isn't the brightest among the heroes, but kudos for her to notice something wrong right away.

Would the debuff gone if they kill Glenn? Players revive with clean status, right?

Ui's strength is she's always trying to get along with people. Reading body language and those kind of signs would be her social survival skills and came unconsciously.

With the mechanism, it probably wouldn't help.

Unlike bad status, it's more like being gaslighted to believe someone else's idea is also yours. Your own mind then try to make sense of it and create all the reasoning to back it up. It became your own thought, so the respawning won't clean it up or else you might as well lose random memories with each respawn.
You have to convince yourself it's actually wrong.

Like in case of Yuusuke's victims. His commands are usually right-now things, so his victims are quick to notice inconsistency and found out something is not right. The one the Dragon Bishop put on Glenn is more long term and harder to notice discrepancy.
Ui noticed it because "the Glenn I knew wouldn't have think like that". That would be harder to notice by the person herself.

I wonder what they could've done if they had known better about the Creature Magic.

Either a bluff to bait the dragon apostle to revealing the lie before they can actually confirm it, a second layer of logical checks(which they technically did, just didn't plan for it or make room to restrain her after confirmation), or do what the others mentioned and have her killed to see if that clears it up or at least give her time to think about it during the respawn form.

Add more layer of check, and make sure Glenn can't make the whole decision herself. Like, no matter what she think, she must return and discuss it with the others, and then only proceed if everyone agrees.

It's bureaucracy though. Good because one person in power is (supposedly) unable to move the whole organization to doom with their own decision. But it has that notorious time loss because...
They wouldn't even lift a finger to save their own grandmothers from the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal without orders – signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters.

This manga is so underrated. The anime did this dirty.
Yeah I was honestly looking forward to anime Sicario. This manga is so earnest in its liberal handwringing that it's practically endearing.

Also, the savior girl's name is Iu, not Ui.
