I guess I was on the mark about the relationship dynamic then.

Its honestly hard to give either of them the reason, on one side we have Takuma "testing" Nanasaki out of paranoia, breaking his trust in the process and basically setting a bad start of the relationship, and on the other side we have Nanasaki that would sometimes make use of violence in answer to the "tests", add all that to the mutual arguments they seemed to frequently have (by what you said I think) and its clear that both of them weren't exactly the ideal couple, all this added together whit the events that happened to Takuma and it became pretty clear that by the end of the relationship Takuma was as much in love whit Nanasaki as Nanasaki was whit him despite all the toxicity.

Trully a bitter relationship.

And not wanting to be a bother, but has the Author spoke about what ended up happening whit Takuma ? Like, did he end up getting back in contact whit him ? Did they just never see each other again ? I would love to know what fate Takuma had in his pursuit of a "normal" life.

@I_I_Hope_I_I at the moment, I have no idea what happened with Takuma. We might get more of an idea later on in the essay when I manage to read it, but I would not be surprised if Nanasaki and Takuma never got back into contact. They were both different people back then and Nanasaki knows it was not a healthy relationship. He may have moved on but I doubt he is ready to face that part of his life head on again. However, I am curious if he is still alive... he seemed to be unstable emotionally on multiple levels, so add that with being outed... Yeah.
