As far as the curse itself goes, I'm not surprised that Marie stepped in. She seems to be a lot more mature than she appears (at least in the sense that she could tell the mermaid was distressed and simply wants to cheer her up), and has a seemingly innate desire to befriend monster girls. Any forgiveness that comes from the mother, will undoubtedly be due to Marie's intervention. Though I do think they shouldn't just let the curse slide and the mermaid should be obligated into figuring out how to reverse it.

Wow that escalated quickly, everyone says they want the mother to not forgive the mermaid, but didn’t the exact same thing happen to Lily’s dad when she brought heath home? Granted the child and mermaid have only just met.

@archimedesu I could be interpreting it wrong, but maybe it means that the fanbox will be getting the work in progress lineart of the chapters on a page-by-page basis (along with all the other goodies that come with a fanbox subscription), and once there are enough pages to put out a small release they will be made available on regular pixiv?
