It's funny how he remembered what the shield statue did to him. It would've been poetic if he shattered its leg first before destroying it.

Not really a cliffhanger, we know the result of the battle which was the main point to this part of the story.

Sure, not all questions are answered and we don't know what MC'll gain but that's not a cliffhanger.

A cliffhanger would be showing the MC surprised by the reward and cutting the chapter before seeing what the reward is for exemple.
Or cutting the chapter right before the end of the fight.
