How can you spend an entire chapter bitching about wanting pizza, but when the time comes to order you don't have anything more than "cheeze pizza" ? The fuck ? A pizza with cheese ? How does that help ordering ? That's like, 99% of pizzas ! And surely, nobody that passionate about pizza would go for a super basic tomato and cheese one ?

@genR Japanese cheese pizza can be really crazy. Domino's Japan has a cheese pizza with 10 different type of cheese and Saizeriya cheese pizza has 5 types. It's basically a Japanese thing to pick a simple menu item from Western cuisine and turn it into an utterly decadent luxury. I once had a cheese pizza in Akiba that was pricier than the full-topping version. It had Mozza, Parmesan, Manchego, Raclette, and Fontina already melted on it, then some other cheese shaved on top. The tomato sauce is replaced with something that more closely resembles red pesto and the crust is thin like a cracker. It was awesome. Then again, Kanako sounds like she has a more pedestrian palate, so this is probably not what she ordered.

Meanwhile in our nation they keep reducing the amount of cheese in the pizza by 3% every year. What is double cheese now was standard cheese 10 years ago. I once went full retard and made a pizza with 20 cheese slices. Now THAT was satisfying, so there is definitely benefit of going DIY here, otherwise step outside and you'd have to pay five times more for the same thing.
