I'm wondering if the manga is doing well or not. It's mainly that when we were starting back then the way to meet Desmond was to obtain the stella stars while avoid getting tonitrus bolts. Anya had like one for both, then last chapter ago she mentions foregoing the stella stars route. And here we are with Loid meeting Desmond already without having to befriend Damian or gaining the stars. Idk, maybe I'm overthinking, I just felt we got rushed that's all.

@Yosafire13 Its just the right pace. I mean ppl r already complaining about the side arcs that is hampering them from continuing the main plot. Showing Desmond doesn't mean the arc is near end. It just progress for the story. If Desmond didn't show up on the next few chapters, it could mean Endo have no idea how to continue or rather he doesnt seem to want to progress Strix and just wants to focus on the slice of life. Meeting the final boss on the early chapters is also a nice plot instead of knowing who the boss is during the final chapters of the story. I mean nobody really expected for Loid to use this opportune moment to meet w/ Desmond. But then again he is a spy. Nothing should be left to chance.

@ adam120 He is a spy. He is willing to do anything to get the job done, even if it means intruding over a father-son time. I mean he is willing to adopt Anya & risk living w/ Yor whom he doesnt even know fully her background (well they couldn't find anything but still). He even overlooks the fact that Yor could beat the shit out of anything that no normal person should do. I already can tell Loid would get his hands dirty the moment he adopted Anya. I mean you cant really expect spies to be all white & goody-two-shoes. So far, i think Loid is more tolerable unlike most where they do far more worse shit than what Loid does.

i guess nothing serious will happen in the next chapter , the 2 fathers will just have a friendly chat about the weather or something . maybe the evil father and his son will have a fight , then the spy will calm them down , then he will gain the trusts of both of them .
