I don't know whether Yabuki is skirting the line between friendship and romance to warm readers up to Matsuri falling for with Soga, get as close as his editors will allow, or just for its own sake. In any case, I am eating up these moments of Matsuri being super-emotionally open.

To me, a couple hooking up is less important than developing the chemistry so you could see and want them to. Matsuri and Soga have got that in spades.
