Some people are always whining about mangas not having plots but this one have alots of plots like what the hell? The way the story flows is confusing many things are adding up, theres a part where one plot is focused on that thing then it will change suddenly, also the tags are baiting we came for Romcom story but lead us to this instead

It’s all good if the tags are correct, but nah mate. The story is good if you will set aside the half age relationship but there’s nothing new as said “Welcome to Japan”

@calmbreez dont think there is any NTR but its a waste of time to read this as it stops randomly since this is just a piece of the novel that isnt being translated to English. If you read the story and actually like it then youll hate that you wont be able to continue it.

This comic is false advertising. Yes there's a jk falling in love with the 29 year old MC in the beginning. But that get's quickly dropped somewhere after ch10 and office drama, backstabbing and tears take the stage. The romance is abandoned, like a politician said 'nigger' live on national television. It is absolutely token at that point. The tags are a joke as well.

Kinda sad to see it get axed while the novel is still going on, but maybe it's not too bad, especially bcz of the bad harem part who is going on in the novel and is useless, especially with the 2nd JK.

And the most misleading title and synopsis goes to...

There's little to almost no romance involved in "29 to JK". It instead focuses on the "29" part - a 29-year old company slave and his struggle against the insidiousness of working in a corporation. All while bearing his failed dreams on his shoulder, constantly. Please keep this in mind, as this series is FIRST AND FOREMOST an office drama, and everything else comes after. Anyone angry or dissatisfied about being misled is completely justified.

And as an office drama, my God this series knocks it out of the park. The author certainly did their homework (or, God forbid, actually worked in these environments) because if you've ever had a white-collared job yourself, or heck, even just worked part-time in these places, the unfairness, oppression, and depressing reality of working an office job will resonate with you so much to the point where it HURTS. 29 to JK tells a fantastic story about EIji Yariba and his drive to not win, but overcome his work-related tribulations and grow in the process. It's a damn fantastic story of an adult who strives, who bleeds to achieve, to be worthy of the dream they've yearned so much when they were young.

Eiji Yariba is this series' biggest selling point, but also its most glaring problem. Everything revolves around him. Even the titular "JK" - Karen, exists only to influence, and be influenced by, Eiji, leaving her with no developments or personality on her own. Hell, she doesn't even really need to be a JK. Everyone else, of course, has it worse than her. They're all marginalised just to drive Eiji's growth forward, nothing more, nothing less. The whole romance shtick gets the backseat the entire ride, even in the light novel. So sorry to anyone who wanted to learn Japanese to read the original LN and see if there's any romantic development, you'll be disappointed.

29 to JK is a great self-discovery story that I'm sure lots of people can relate to. If only it didn't try so hard pretending to be some harem, office, age-gap romance whatever. Putting the whole misleading everyone aside, those aspects just bogged down the series as a whole since, every once in a while, the series completely derails from the office drama to make a half-assed attempt at justifying the "romance" and "harem" tags it has. I personally enjoy the office drama, but it's definitely and unfortunately greater than the sum of its parts
