I didn’t realise how much I had needed this. As someone who’s been struggling to make friends all my life, reading Seongeun’s words here, no matter how small they might be in the grand scheme of things or how cliché they really are, really took a weight off my chest. I honestly can’t remember the last time words had such an effect on me. It’s probably because of the fact that Goobong’s awkwardness is well-portrayed and easily relatable throughout (at least, it reflects my experience to an extent) that her words don’t feel too hackneyed or out of place. Even if it’s taking me far too long to build relationships, I’m glad that this chapter reminded me that it’s okay to forgive myself for it.
Personal life aside, this manhwa is a total heart-warmer. The symbolism is as obvious as it gets, but I love the simplicity of it. Their relationship is very sweet, too, and though some find it boring because of the pace, I enjoy watching the way it develops. Definitely worried about the drama that’s bound to ensue from that antagonistic magenta(?) girl though.
Thanks to the team for your hard work! Looking forward to the next update!
