I'm so impressed with our girl here. To be honest at the beginning of this fight I thought she was going to end up intimidated but I like how she thought things out and threw everything back at the other girl. She's finding her voice which is fantastic.

Student: *working out her issues in a commendably mature manner*
Teacher: Stop fighting! I'm disappointed in you!

Something tells me this teacher was just looking for someone to take his crappy day out on.

This chapter was so cathartic to read as someone who was never able to stand up for myself and just got beaten back down when I did. Even if the teacher was an ass about it (realistic because everyone knows teachers dont give a fuck about you save rare exceptions) this is still a turning point for Seong Eun's life, go girl!

Are you kidding girl? This day was the best! You rocked! Your friends and (maybe future boy)friend have been impressed. In a good way.

I fucking hate when teachers use disappointment as an emotional weapon on good kids, I've never been a good student, but some of my best friends were, and I remember their sad expressions whenever a teacher would say "I'm disappointed at you"

I really hate reading these trope "talk behind someone's back" drama scenarios when it's just a person who made stuff up about the MC and spread rumors. To me, it's always seems like there's such an obvious and easy solution - just stand up for yourself, immediately ask others what some others about you, and clear up any misunderstandings. She could have stood up for herself by doing exactly what she did NOW all the way back when it all started in her old school.

But then again, I do realize that for many people, this is just something that's hard to do for them. I don't think there is actually anything wrong with this trope, but I've come to hate reading this situations because I've never seen things like this happen to me or the people I know - I've always just seen people immediately clear up misunderstandings or stand up for themselves instead of cowering away, so I when I see characters NOT do that and just blame and degrade themselves, it just makes me feel annoyed that the most obvious solution is not being used.
