I'm talking about Long Yuyin and another one, they are yet to be introduced in the manhwa. Both are around the same age as Nie Li. The other I think it's pretty close, 50 chapters maybe.

Oh, of course. "HER" xD God, that was a real mess... So obvious what the author was planning. I wish he was a bit more subtle with the reverse trap stuff.

Btw, 195 ch in light novel => what CH of the manhua ?
dragon lady ? who is it ? x)
Master ? since when does he has one ? x)
Obvious girl ? Ning'er ?

The chapters in Novel and Manhwa don't line up at all. There's probably still 30-40 chapters until we meet Yu Yan. We're currently at chapter 174 in the novel.
All of these are kinda big spoilers :) That's why I was being vague in case someone read this who hadn't progressed that far - like you. :p
Regarding the others: You'll know it when you see it. ?

unfortunately, I quite like the spoiler. I went on the wiki of TODG and learn some stuff. i hate read novel, but it doesnt mean i dont wanna know what's going to happend x)
Now, I know who is the master ( she died from the very same yuyan in his previous life, and will give up her life to save his from the sage in this life, but about the obvious girl and the dragon lady, I still dont know xD

Well, I just think it kind of takes the fun out of it, if you know everything beforehand. But if you truly must know.. No, you're not quite right about the master. She was killed, but not by Yu Yan (the spiritual goddess), but by Long Yuyin, the "dragon lady", as I call her. (she's similar to Duan Jian with a dragon blood line body or something)
The "obvious girl" is obviously a girl, even though the author wants us to believe she's a guy. But he was being so obvious that I never bought it.
You see, it's all very spoilery. xD

And I agree, reading the novel is a pain. The translation is quite bad. I don't know how I managed it... And the amount of times I read "He never [believed/realized/expected] that <something crazy that the MC did>" is downright frustrating. The English isn't very good, but I believe that the source material isn't any better. It's mostly a wank-off to the greatness of the MC. lol
And the author has no sense for scale. I calculated some stuff later on about some numbers he presented and he's off by a factor of >10. It's kinda sad. Because the world is kinda cool, but all this bs ruins my immersion.. :(

@simca27 yeah, the anime is so atrocious, that I forgot for a second that it existed. I was like "What? It has an anime?"
I watched one of the latest episodes recently, and I gotta say that they've improved the quality a lot, it's half-way decent now. ?But I still wouldn't watch it over the manga.

Someone back at the wuxia site did a pretty good job explaining what is wrong with TDG and the way the author writes his protagonist. I'll put it in spoilers below.

I wonder when these Xianxia authors will stop asserting and reaffirm to themselves that their MC is not normal, their MC is shugoi special and cannot possibly be compared to normal practitioners.

“His reflexes are quite good, and would be able to confront any normal practitioner…But, alas, Nie Li is not anyone normal! He is the author’s avatar!”
I can’t help but imagine the Author going down on Nie Li, giving him a slow, passionate bl*wjob.

One of the downfalls of these stories is that the authors cannot stop Telling[sic!] the audience how awesome their Avatar is, instead of just trusting their audience to comprehend such a thing by Showing it in action. One of the examples, is that last paragraph.
It was fun to see how Nie Li slowly ambushes and attacks them from the shadows, until the narrative started undressing Nie Li and began to imbibe upon him in public.

Yeah, I agree with that quote. It's honestly pretty bad. Too bad the story is interesting. Otherwise, I could just drop it like some other bs that's floating around.

This shit is kinda like a game master player character in pen & paper. MC is the shit and it needs to be as obvious as possible, readers could be too dumb to notice, you know.

I've been thinking of editing the novel to take out all the glorification and and make the numbers more believable, but eh... ? I don't really want to do that for close to 500 chapters. lol
