Feels weird to have a comedy tag here... Maybe it will keep the fluff somehow.

So apparently he needs to make her heart beat faster, or as most of you call it "go dokidoki", in order for her to live longer.

Mhmmm... I'm afraid he's gonna have to moderate himself or else he's gonna end up overdoing it and accidentally killing her with a heart attack (à la Katawa Shoujo).

@Hertert the translation is readable, and that "someone" isn't you, so I don't get why people should wait for professional translation instead of reading the work of someone who translated this decent enough for others to read

@Phuocphuc46 Not an excuse. If the readers don't complain the translator will never improve.
Anyways, the main problem with this TL is the tense. A bit of proofreading would improve it.

E.g.: "The living time left extend"

@AbuHajaar I know that criticism is needed for the translators to improve, though if the person is reading manga for free, criticism shouldn't extend to "let someone else do it" entriely.

it doesn't matter if it's done for free or not. constructive criticism is always welcomed

@Phuocphuc46 What are the chances of this translator going back and redoing this chapter after he gets better? Almost zero. So this chapter is virtually stuck in this shitty state forever. Translations like these do more harm than good, even if it's for free.

“It’s free translation so it’s fine if it’s bad.”

What kind of logic is that? Just from the look of all the misspelled words, not even counting the really bad grammar, one can see that whoever did the chapter half-assed it just to get it out. There’s no sniping here, nor anything that requires the scan to be out early. So why can’t the scanlator put some real effort to at least double check his script? This isn’t an issue of bad English anymore, but low effort scanlation. He could literally ask anyone on this forum to help checking his script if he can’t, but nah that’s too much work isn’t it?

People who accept this kind of low standard are the same people who enable literally anyone to pick up a project and shit all over it.

My theory is that the girl is secretly depressed and in 100 days she will kill herself. The reason her time extended is because after talking to him, she decides to call it off for at least another three days. Of course, this is all speculation but it still makes sense. I refuse to believe that this has a happy ending,

@Hertert Allow me to rephrase the words of @AbuHajaar and @Phuocphuc46.

Constructive criticism is good but the way you said it is horrible. Pick better wording that's more constructive than "let someone else do it", like maybe "work on your tense"?

Plus, the criticism is not to improve these chapters. It is to improve the next chapters.

I do agree with @kn1000a but I still reserve my initial opinion of "make your criticisms actually constructive". Oh, and please be thankful. It's free after all. Beggars can't be choosers.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN If you read what I actually said, it's pretty clear what my criticism is: Low effort.

If you have a bad work ethnic, that is something to be criticized for. To fix it would be pretty easy too: spend more time on the projects and stop cutting corners. Or consult other scanlators. The resources are all there...

“It’s free translation so it’s fine if it’s bad.” part 2

Regarding this: Yes, I'm grateful that this chapter exists. Now some other groups can finally notice it.
Am I grateful for this low quality scan? No. This kind of scans just show that the scanlators expect me to take this level of standard and accept it. This is basically MTL level. This also shows that the scanlators don't really treat scanlation that serious at all, since they're willing to release unchecked works to the public. There is literally no time constraint so idk why they can't wait to recruit people to help. We don't need more LHTs in this community.

I guess it's up to personal preference in the end. Either speed or quality. I am fine with waiting for months, as long as the chapters I read are readable. It's fine if the people here likes incomprehensible English, but I will always complain when a lazy scan like this appear. Other scanlators are putting actual effort into their works and often don't get any kind of appreciation. For these scans to exist seems like an insult to that.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN Sorry if I came off as harsher than I meant to be. It's just that I've seen too many cases like this.

About constructive criticism, what could I tell them? Learn basic grammar and spelling? Don't leave out random words? It's laughable how self evident this stuff is. If they can't even figure out that for thermselves, no amount of tips is gonna help.
Bottom line is, someone at that level shouldn't even attempt something like this. Like kn1000a said, it's insulting to scanlators who put care and effort into this.
