edit: @exogriz , @Zhi-Laohu thanks. But it still doesnt make sense to use rare and precious wood (I doubt it can shoulder any beast paw strike) to make a palisade/fort in the sand desert.

I assume the artist just forgot/messed up.

btw, the novel is already full translated to those interessed, I didnt like the wording though.

@SeaTurtle you forgot that he has a fleet of DESERT SHIP ? yes, a ship that flies on desert dunes... well, it's probably through trade that he managed to acquire those steel just like @Zhi-Laohu suggested.
