i don't get why summoning is considered so low, i mean being able to summon forth several companions to come help you out is a major thing. summoners should be one of the highest ranked classes, they probably explained why before but the series used to update so rarely that i can't remember.

@Vasqueztion Mira has martial arts as secondary specialization, but for some reason it is not mentioned in manga and skills are translated as sage skill. Source of that information is WN ch 29.
@chillmare They just skipped some talking about how Mira should look around the city.

@Uncle_hitler It's hard to survive fight with first summons, because new summoner does not have anything effective to attack. Problem with that is nobody can help summoner fighting or aquiring the summon will fail. Mira used bunch of some explosion crystals, but nobody can manufacture them cheaply now. They became rare. Only Mira can make them as it is nothing.

@Uncle_hitler it's because the summoner needs to be the one to defeat the creature to make a contract. the MC used bombs and high end equipment for his own summons, but other people didn't have the equipment or magic bombs to be able to defeat the monsters alone

even so this could be fixed with either a rich summoner/a noble summoner or the summoner could just team up with a group and have them help him. that way the group would gain a major boost to their fighting power, everyone wins.
it seems like an easy problem to solve, i don't see how the people in this world are having such problems.

Coincidence or not, latest chapter of LN translated by Krytyk today is around this part. And there's a difference in interaction between Mira and Hinata when talking about summoning. In the manga, Hinata is so depressed but in ln the atmosphere is not that heavy. Also in ln, Mira' hair is not twintail
