considering this author's style, past stories and just the stories so far i think there are 3 possibilities:
1) there is a another queen with wider powers that can control both men and women
2) we are seeing a tokyo ghoul type story where its about the "human" eusocial group vs "insect" eusocial group
3) like in arachnid, himeno is effectively being groomed to serve a higher purpose

Good to see Himeno standing up for her friends' sake; at first I thought it would be better if she just explained her motives to the head researcher (Yasuomi), but her testimony could get her arrested instead (but then, she just gave them confirmation that she is the wasp they were looking for). Hopefully Rie-chan will realize that all workers are in danger and hide herself before she gets kill.

That's the literal translation, being a play on Himeno's name and her wasp stinger ("Hime" no "supia/spia"). Translation notes also tell that the name is a wordplay and can be read as "Himetopia" (Princess' Utopia), hence Himeno talking about paradise in the story proper.

I'd argue that this is not a case of insanity, for now at least. Himeno's been treated like a piece of garbage most of her life, suddenly she gets a power that turns her worst tormentors into obedient, caring allies.

It's all a farce and a sad one at that, but when you're stomped that hard in the dirt, would you rather live a pleasant lie, or keep enduring a truth where you're treated worse than an animal?

Also, as others have mentioned, one unique aspect of all this is that Himeno is NOT insane, and has not cracked under the daily torture, so has yet to go on any revenge rampage. That alone is impressive.

I think she's still not crazy, instead, what made her follow through with creating more "comrades" was (to me, at least) her choice to not let her smaller group of "friends" suffer because of her (see what they would seemingly have to do -- risk themselves and her mother taking turns to protect her, hiring more people, emptying their pockets for that and worse -- if she didn't increase her allies as they suggested).
Apparently, however, while she finally created a place for herself where she's not unwelcome, in a society of schoolgirls, she's become an enemy to another larger society, simply because of what she is.
