@bastek66 Nah Tadano is a main character much as komi (appear in one shot as main guy, and the series begin with his view point) or to be precise he is main hero, where komi is main heroine, the objective of this manga for komi is to get 100 friends and for tadano is to help her as much as he can as he state in the first chapter. And also don't get too harsh on these guys that hoping for romantic development, frankly many people interested in the series the first place because how cute,sweet and natural romantic interaction flow between these two, but sometime people get their hopes too high (sometime annoying though) by expecting very fast romantic development in a romcom slice of life with very very slow pacing.(unless author make it so which is very unlikely to happen )

@In_The_Nightside_Eclipse thank youuu. Everyone who is hoping for romance has the total rights to hope for it because the author has been baiting it. What the original "purpose" of the manga is doesn't really matter. That's just a premise.

My guess for why Isagi is so obsessed with cleanliness and order is that she either started off as a germaphobe and had her phobia compounded severely by having a close relative/friend suffering a lot from an illness and/or unsanitary conditions in her early childhood, or she acquired the germaphobia from such a relative/friend suffering so.

As for why she rejects Komi... it's not that she's actually rejecting Komi, it's that she holds Komi (or rather, the Komi that she and everyone else other than Tadano, Manbagi and Komi's family sees) as embodying the paragon of both order and purity that she aspires to be yet falls so short of, and believes herself to be too disgustingly filthy to dare associate so closely with Komi.

@givemersspls I don't think that's it, the way she poured water on herself at the end makes me think it was more of a heat thing. Interacting with people makes her temperature rise? Maybe, though god knows why she threw it out the window either way.

Maybe you're right and the water is also a temporary wash type thing, but I really doubt it's that simple. She's really into cleanliness but that doesn't mean it's the only aspect of her actions. Well, we'll see next chap I imagine.
