@Lxpiz @Muklas Also why should we admit it, if the quality of the translation as well as the editing was so high because the credit page was created with a poorer program?
If, for example, I am good in photoshop I do not go to create the page of credits with paint but I continue with the other program, it is still a much simpler thing than what was done throughout the chapter. 😅

@Ifrittucia a machine program cant generate that well of a translation T-T or can exactly be identical to ours. And I dont mind about the MS paint thing, it probably took them weeks cause it's hard to just typeset and redraw wild girl with MS paint.

@Lxpiz I don't talk about the translation that is already too similar to your style, so it's pretty obvious what's going on.
But of the program used to edit the chapter, it is clear that the credits page was made with a different program and I don't see the reason for it.
If it really was a chapter made by those who uploaded it to mangadex it would have been less tiring using the same program used throughout the chapter, in essence I'm trying to say that the person who uploaded the chapter (as I see it) will he's even busy making it look his. 😅

Not to take sides on the whole sniping issue but the problem I see with snipes in general is that there's no clear time frame where a release is no longer considered a snipe. Its pretty clear when a group who is keeping pace with the release gets sniped by another group but in the case where its multiple chapters behind and the group hasn't released anything for a while, at what point is it no longer considered a snipe.

That's the thing with the community, for this comic people are calling it a snipe but in Retired Heroes people didn't call it a snipe yet the time frame was similar.

So take what you will from my small rant. Its just something I noticed.

Does it really matter if it's a 'snipe'? Unless a group has the author's permission it's all illegal anyways. What's the problem if a chapter is translated 2-3 times just read whatever version you prefer.

I agree with @Bad_Vader to some extent.
Sure, it would've been better had the people who did this chapter told LunaLotusScans about it, and maybe worked on the following chapter (ch22) rather than this one (ch21) since LunaLotusScans had already been working on it for a while, and then release the chapter not long after this chapter's translation by LunaLotusScans is released.
That would've been the best way to go about it.
However, on the other hand, maybe the people who did this chapter thought that this chapter wasn't being worked on due to not noticing that LunaLotusScans has different translators take care of different series. For example, Viopera is the one taking care of this series, and since the last chapter (regardless of which series) Viopera released, Lxpiz and Rosenna have released several chapters of other series.
As such, if the people who did this chapter didn't notice the "different translators for each series" thing, it's a genuine possibility that they thought this series was no longer being worked on as much.
Of course, there's always the other possibility of wanting to snipe, but then again that would require them to post the chapter before LunaLotusScans, and all their work to snipe would've been for naught.
I thus do not believe that they had bad intentions for certain, even if they could've gone about it in a better way.

On a different note, I personally don't mind re-reading chapters with different translations.

Oh, and I forgot to mention two things.
1- The obligatory "Damn I love this couple!"
2- At least in this case the people who did this chapter bought the raws by themselves rather than what those who sniped the last time did (aka taking the raws for free from the april's fool releases). You all should at least give them that. They bought the raws themselves.

hey, it's not like LLS do bad job, or do something controversial, or has bad release schedule. so this snipe is unnecessary IMHO. however, we couldn't stop people to works on something they like. i hope both side can compromise.

Whether people respect the scans or not won't make it any less illegal. All I'm saying is that the only people who have rights to and own the work is the original author. I just find it funny when groups act like territorial animals as if they're the only ones who have the right to translate a series. Other people translating in no way impedes them from doing their own, and if it ruffles their feathers so much no one is holding a gun to their head forcing them to keep translating.

Disagree. You talk as if scanlating isn’t an organized activity that many people accept it as. If you accept the fact that you’re consuming these illegal products, you agree to the rules of the scanlation world. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

LLS spends time and effort to collaborate and provide us this stuff. Don’t you dare try to undermine their work using that “legality” argument.
