Some manga don't usually have this quality side stories. This one felt right there. I'm a teacher and at work you can actually see how kids loose that bond with the parents so quickly when they enter high school and the effort some parents do to keep contact. When they see their kids having a great time at school they have a similar expression like komi's dad. What a beautiful chapter indeed.
