I forgot a bit,but in chapter 1 it was explained that it had been about thirty years CMIIW...how long has everyone been asleep again? Was the food in stasis?
Could also be a side effect of the sleep spell that most stuff is basically in stasis or somethingSo it has been 30 years they are in magical sleep
Since no one surprised street food is still ok after 30 year, i guess this is a world where rotting process is not a thing ?
It has already established in the first few chapters that the food are still OK. All the food in the castle are still edible and all the characters were also wonder about that too. It seems that the sleeping magic preserves the food just like with human. So it has been 30 years they are in magical sleep

My head canon is even the fungal spores and bacteria are 'asleep' so no fermentation or spoiling occurred for the last 30 years. So it has been 30 years they are in magical sleep

...and the perfectly preserved cut flowers? My head canon is even the fungal spores and bacteria are 'asleep' so no fermentation or spoiling occurred for the last 30 years.
Like that one scp where it's a blanket universal death occurs when entering a tunnel, so all food was only found to be dusty but not rotten.
I want to know how the gelato is still frozen....and the perfectly preserved cut flowers?
If your erection lasts for longer than 30 years, consult your local witch.Imagine the sleeping curse struck when you are in the middle of banging
