@Eridian Exactly why I said as if they paid for it. The standards are being set by groups under these said "donations". Everyone is acting as if they're throwing money at every scanlator and is demanding the same quality on everything.

Honestly, I don't care about snipes. Who judges whether their "time and effort" was wasted for making their own version is them and them alone, and whether a readers' time is wasted for reading it is on the reader for reading it automatically like a drone high in FOMO. Unless the scanlators take in "donations", then only then the quality is subject.

ArazNovel - I'm honestly an editor in real life/for my day job, and this chapter.... ho boy. Anybody who turned in this kind of work for my company's "show us your skills" test (the test you're given when trying to get hired on with the company) wouldn't even make it past the first phase. This chapter would likely also be used as an example to other people being interviewed as a perfect example of "what not to do" when trying to translate and letter manga...

If you're going to try to snipe a chapter from someone, please at least make sure your work is on par with theirs. If you're unable to see how yours stacks up to the already released product, then seek some outside help or put a disclaimer at the beginning of the chapter that you're releasing this chapter as your very first time doing this kind of work and you're eagerly looking for any kind of feedback for how you can improve.

There's no way you honestly thought that this chapter was "good enough" to stand on its own and be better than Mangasushi's . If you did, then I sincerely doubt you're cut out for this kind of work. I do thank you for at least taking the time to try, which is a lot more than some people who just sit back and complain about things online do, but... this was not a good showcase of your group's abilities. In fact, it might actually hurt your reputation a bit because it was so low quality.
