When the 3 years passed I thought that he was at least a little better, but it seems that it was the same thing. I think it would have been more interesting if the author had made him mentally mature and improved his fighting skills and then due to something else he awoke his OP power.
Then I think that at least the "revenge" in the title would make a little more sense. I don't think it's wrong for him to have resentment towards his family, but as I said before if he had at least gotten better in some way.

Not gonna spoil anything, but I read the novel, the manga didn’t do any justice to it. He was treated like dirt after his mother died, cause he was unable to use his family’s special powers, which limits his growth. He then was bullied by everyone cause his half brother had talent and he was merely treated like trash. That’s why he’s getting revenge.
