@yuchiyo They tried that but didn’t see eye-to-eye on some things. I think there are some announcements about it still on the MAS Discord.

He's...just storing the eyeballs in a big pile? Not suspending them in liquid or freezing them or anything?

@hophope Both variants are correct, so it's fine. On the other hand, that final line--did they really say "A Tigur's gem eye", singular, when there's a whole pile of them?

I get that he is, first, deliberately trying to attract attention and, second, overenthusiastic because he's in what he probably doesn't fully realize is the first flush of love. But in future, could we exercise a little restraint and, above all, taste? Buying piles and piles of stuff is crass. Don't get every damn gewgaw you see, get one or two good pieces that suit her and that she likes; loading your wife down with random jewelry, even if every piece is uber-expensive, is just tacky. Get a grip, man--are you a noble or some jumped-up merchant?

Ivona: I'm uncomfortable with you buying me so much, it's a lot to accept and I don't need all this.
Duke: Ok I see that I did too much, sorry if my actions were burdensome.
Also Duke: Everyone leave this hotel now, I bought it and only my wife can enjoy it. Also, several stores' worth of merchandise and an auction house of jewelry now belong to her. Clearly this is the correct amount of lavish buying.

Harsh to say: but the other translation made me think the Auction Head was aware of ML's identity. This makes so much more sense now.

Are there silver and copper currency in this series? If not, that'll save my sanity with a "oh, it's 100 million cents!"

@WhoCares eeew, you're right. He should've gotten a few rotten, creased, or ruptured ones from being packed that way.

Dere your way through this investigation! Seriously, the Duke got them in just by doting on his wife nonstop.

This fool. Let's hope he isn't assassinated before they bring him in.

I’m afraid that her mother is the mystery hooded magician who help the blonde guy.

I thought her mother is dead, not ran away from home.

@vierseason: a part of me fear that her mother basically suffer the same fate she previously did i.e. did some dangerous experiments in order to be loved/wanted then soon realized the other person doesn't even see them as a person (in this case the dad probably was disgusted with how she looked then) and then came to hate everything (a certain original Eumiella come to mind)

It would explains why the auctioneer guy got a force choke when the mage mentioned the monsters attacking 'duchess agentine' as well as retorting in bold text that 'she didn't die'

@vierseason Nah, I do remember it saying pretty specifically that the mom left. I also remember people saying stuff in the comments about it like her having left her daughter in such an abusive household was probably because she might have figured that the father would at least take somewhat better care of her because she was a useful political tool and such for marrying her off and what not. But we all saw how that turned out, so if that really was at all the thought process there the mother was a fool.

As for the mother being the hooded person, I still just don't feel like that should be it? It very well could be, but if it is it's not even really a "twist," y'know? She's the only female cast member who has been so specifically noted as being in an unknown location, doing unknown things and all that. If it is her it's almost too obvious to forgive the writing.
