Well, tried this because of the last page of 49 in the fantastic Youjo Senki but I think they were just having a laugh. This is pretty mediocre. Maybe there is some turnaround later on but yeesh what a thoroughly generic and meh start.

Eh, conversely part of the issue here is that everyone does indeed seem to have a point. This isn't just "socializing" and being friends it's work. Being in the guild isn't a right, it's a job that comes with a lot of privileges, and apparently the MC never bothered to actually read the regs and hasn't improved at all or even sought some way around his lack of improvement. And even after getting called on it there is no big internal reflection or moment of self-recognition just onto herb shop and he completely blows off the very real danger despite being obviously weak. Like, even someone who was really weak could still focus on stealth and caution and make for something interesting but he's genuinely annoying about it.

Based on the cover presumably there is some big "discovering his true power!!" moment coming along somewhere but even if that happens he starts so entitled feeling about his specialness it'd take some real writing skill to turn it into a decent moment.

What the hell is wrong with these people...sure having a lvl cap of 1 makes him look like a small fry but that does not change his contribution to the party...whether he can only kill 1 slime or just carry their baggages still count toward contributions....He just doesn’t gain exp, will fall behind and have to move on to another party that suit his ability , rinse and repeat...But that is not the reason to label someone as “parasite”
