This prologue is overly dramatic for the actual story. I am not saying that everything that is depicted here does not happen. But all these scenes have been taken out of context.
As tragic as these happenings may seem at first glance, one needs to understand that at the moment, there are 73 chapters to the original and the prologue contains virtually all the angsty parts of the whole story. Taking this prologue, diluting it in 73 chapters, one realizes that this may be much less tragic than what the prologue implies.
I find the prologue quite misleading, to be honest. For the people who expect a psychological thriller with some borderline horror, this story might turn out to be a disappointment.
