I dont know why but I feel this is a bit different from wn, well might be because they change it in the ln or the manga rush it.

From what I remember, he separates her head from her body and maintain it with barrier magic so she wouldnt die, like, her head was actually connect with her body by barrier but it looks separated physically. And then she beg him to put her body and head back and apologize for what she has done to charlotte and his family. As a warning, he put the collar so the head won't fall and people won't know about it. And if she done it again, he will kill her for real

@Sep10trion for one, it's near impossible for anyone in the world he lives in to be comparable, he literally is at 1002 where demons who are supposed to be incredibly powerful view him as near incomprehensible, i need to point out here that levels square (level 2 is 4 times as powerful as level 1, level 4 is 16 times level 1, etc) The only situation where that situation is possible is another isekai'd dude, which needs two people to be sent to the same world out of potentially infinite ones, and that person to also be sent by a goddess who's idea of a cheat is way overboard. That or something incredibly old and ancient, but i highly doubt one of those beings would go along with her, unless they somehow got anything out of it, and she doesn't really have anything to provide that's that good.

Two, all he needs to do to avoid that one in a million chance is to monitor her and destroy her chances. Frey took over all demons in the area of the Zenphis territory, it wouldn't be that hard to monitor her and make sure she doesn't make any subtle movements against him, which could also double as subordinate recruitment if she finds anyone good.

The translations were okay, I rather be able to read it than just look at the pictures and decipher what's going on, plus I've endured actual google translations that have been copied and pasted and they were 1000 way more terrible people are to spoilt.

On the chapter: not sure why they change it up but I guess they basically shorten the scene with the collar, I don't understand why people here are disappointed with him, literally attaching a headbomb to her neck, like if she ever fucks up, her life automatically ends and he CAN'T outright kill her because the powervaccum that would cause, would lead the entire kingdom to ruin.

@Hell_Satan where did she find out he's her son, they abandoned ? it wasn't shown in the chapter, so am interested in reading the LN or WN to see her reaction.

@pingustrategist ight i'm just gonna cope&paste a prev comment since y'all didn't read through chapter 12 properly.

It's not like he really has much of a choice here, this wasn't done out of mercy, it's done because this woman is the Lynchpin of the country, if she dies, what will essentially happen is the nobles fighting to gain the power to usurp the throne, because over time the king has lost a lot of his power to her. The country could even erupt into civil war, and completely ignoring that that would probably put his family more at risk than that woman generally could even if not threatened, that would just be a mess, and the MC's aim is to live a normal shut-in life.

TL;DR she's more useful alive than dead,
